Glover Garden is an open-air museum of Meiji-era Western houses on the Minamiyamate hillside above Nagasaki harbour, next to Oura Cathedral. Its centrepiece, the former Glover House of 1863, is Japan’s oldest surviving wooden Western-style building and part of the Meiji Industrial Revolution World Heritage listing.
